Together with Vadim Konoschenko, a certain Alexei Bryman and Vadim Yermolenko were taken into custody. They are suspected of purchasing military and dual-use products to circumvent sanctions.
Vadim Konoschenko was detained at the request of the US Department of Justice on 06.12.2022 (before that he was detained in October and November). He is suspected of working for the FSB. According to preliminary data, he smuggled American electronics and ammunition for sniper weapons from Estonia to Russia.
He faces up to 30 years in prison.
Evgeny Grinin, Alexei Ippolitov, Boris Livshits and Svetlana Skvortsova are also charged. According to U.S. authorities, the Serniya clandestine procurement network worked under the direction of Russian intelligence services to purchase electronics and sophisticated test equipment.
