Latvian blogger Dmitrijs Matajevs, known for his publications on TikTok, was found guilty of committing crimes under two political articles: 74.1 (public justification of war crimes and crimes against humanity) and 78 (actions aimed at inciting national and ethnic hatred and hostility).
The punishment for the first article amounted to 8 months' imprisonment, for the second - 6 months. As a result, a total sentence of one year in prison was imposed, Baltiya portal reported.
Dmitriy has been in prison since April, and so far he has served seven months of the sentence. Thus, he has five more months to serve.

The time served will be credited, but Dmitry will remain in custody until the sentence comes into force. Items seized during the search will be confiscated.
The short judgment is not subject to appeal, and the full judgment will be prepared within 10 days. It can be appealed.
