The Foundation for Support and Protection of Compatriots' Rights expresses deep concern about the ongoing campaign to discredit our human rights activities in the European media. These attacks are directly related to our work to protect the Russian-speaking population in the EU countries, which is currently subjected to unprecedented pressure for political reasons.
In recent years, we have observed an alarming trend: hundreds of our compatriots in Europe are becoming victims of politically motivated persecution. People are detained, deported and deprived of basic civil rights simply for expressing their position or connection with Russian culture. Of particular concern is the situation with political prisoners, whose rights are systematically violated.
Our organization documents numerous cases of:
The Foundation provides legal assistance to victims of such persecution, organizes defense in court, and facilitates appeals to international human rights bodies. It is precisely this activity that irritates certain forces that are trying to present our work as "the activity of a foreign agent."
We categorically reject all accusations against the Foundation and declare: our organization operates exclusively within the legal framework, guided by international norms on the protection of human rights. All services we provide are completely transparent and comply with the legislation of both Russia and the EU countries.
The Foundation will continue its mission to protect the rights of compatriots who find themselves in a difficult situation due to the political situation. We will continue to seek justice for all who have become victims of political repression, using all available legal mechanisms both at the national and international levels.
