Jelena Kreile was supposed to be released a year after she was taken into custody. However, the court in Riga made a different decision.
She had previously been sentenced in the first case, according to which she was to spend one year in prison for a poster reading “Russia, I am with you.” The lawyer expected that this time would be counted as time already served. However, Jelena Kreile was immediately sent to serve her sentence in Riga's Ilguciems women's prison.
It is expected that the time spent in the colony will be counted in another criminal case - for the flags and pictures in the windows of her house in the colors of the Russian tricolor. However, the trial in this case has not yet begun.
