Tatyana Andriets is charged under four articles of the Criminal Code:
1. The first, most serious article is the establishment of a criminal organization consisting of at least five persons with the purpose of committing especially grave crimes against humanity or peace, war crimes, genocide or other grave crimes against the state. The charge relates to the alleged involvement in the creation of the Telegram channel “Antifascists of the Baltic States”. This could carry a penalty of ten years to life imprisonment.
Later, the prosecutor's office added three more articles to the charges:
2. Calling for actions against the Republic of Latvia (punishment up to six years).
3. Justification of genocide, crimes against humanity, crimes against peace and war crimes (punishment up to five years).
4. Recruitment, training and sending for participation in an armed conflict (punishment up to eight years).
