Latvian police refused to initiate a case over the attack on Russian anti-fascist with Latvian roots Jelena Kreile, the Baltic portal reported, citing the tg-channel Aleksei Stefanov.
The police did not consider the statement with a detailed description of the situation and versions, written in Russian, and replied that statements are accepted only in Latvian.
The assassination attempt on Jelena Kreile was committed on January 7, 2023, when she was sitting in the kitchen of her apartment on the first floor of a two-story building. The windows were pelted with bricks, one brick hit her head, the shattered glass injured her.
"The Latvian authorities deal with an undesirable person who shows sympathy for Russia, in two directions at once: punishes criminally and turns a blind eye to the actions of Nazi scumbags - a Latvian citizen, Russian Latvian Elena Kreile was attacked with mutilation, but the Latvian police are not even interested in this case", - writes Stefanov.
Recall, Elena Kreile, Latvian anti-fascist, who advocates friendship with Russia, in December was charged under Article 74.1 "Public glorification and justification of aggression and war crimes".
Symbols of "glorification and justification" are displayed on the windowsill in her apartment:

Earlier Elena was sentenced to a year of suspended imprisonment and payment of court costs for the fact that she came out with a poster "Russia, I am with you" on February 26, 2022 to the Russian embassy in Latvia, where at that moment Latvian and Ukrainian nationalists were rampaging.
