Latvian court acquits politician Igor Kuzmuk, accused of supporting the Russian army

A Latvian court has acquitted former Riga City Council deputy from the Soglasie party Igor Kuzmuk, who was charged under Article 77.2 of the Latvian Criminal Law - indirectly aiding terrorists in Latvia, the Baltic portal reports. Kuzmuk became the first person in Latvia to be tried under this article.

"One should always fight, nothing is solved while chopping! Thank you very much, friends, I really felt your support! Now forward, the fights will still be ..." - stated Kuzmuk on his page in Telegram.

Recall, the Latvian prosecutor's office requested two years in prison for Kuzmuk for reposting a news publication, which contained a call to send money for the Russian military.
